LANDFILL TARPS

AmCon is a manufacturer of alternate daily cover tarps. These daily covers are used in waste management practices to cover and contain solid waste in landfills. These tarps serve several important purposes to maintain the landfill’s integrity and protect the environment. Daily cover tarps have notable advantages over other daily cover options.

TARPS VS. OTHER DAILY COVER

  • More cost effective than dirt cover

  • Saves air space

  • Deters scavengers

  • Serves as a fire retardant

Used covers can be put to other uses. The cover is a geotextile fabric which can be used for stabilization of dirt-rock roads, as well as support within the cell.

AmCon makes replacement tarps for machines, as well.

DURABLE & PEACE OF MIND

AmCon's daily covers are meticulously crafted to withstand the demanding conditions of landfills. These tarps are painstakingly constructed using premium materials, adhering to the most stringent standards of quality.

AmCon uses woven polypropylene, a highly durable fabric that delivers maximum service life. Notably, polypropylene poses no environmental risks and ensures safe handling for personnel.

MINIMAL EROSION & EASY HANDLING

AmCon's daily covers feature a dense weave that efficiently guides most water to cascade over and off the surface, effectively mitigating erosion. When water is skillfully directed over the cover rather than beneath it, the fabric provides reliable protection to the underlying area.

The polypropylene fabric undergoes reinforcement with 15,000 lb. nylon webbing, ensuring superior durability through quadruple stitching with high-stress bonded polyester thread. The reinforced corners are engineered to endure the strain of heavy machinery while retaining a manageable weight for manual handling.
